Work to resurface and repair the Noble Park Pickleball Courts will begin Tuesday, September 8. The work is expected to continue through Friday, September 11. If the work is not completed by Friday, crews will resume work on Monday, September 14, after the Paddle Up Paducah Pickleball Tournament. This schedule will allow tournament participants to have full use of the courts on Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13.
The warranty work will include resurfacing the eight pickleball courts and walkways, repairing chips and cracks, and applying concrete sealant. Due to high temperatures, crews will be onsite during the early morning and evening hours when temperatures are lower. Crews will resurface two courts at a time, allowing the remaining courts to be available for public use. Court visitors are requested to avoid the work crews and restricted areas until the project is completed.
“We apologize for this temporary inconvenience, especially for the many residents who regularly enjoy these courts,” said Director of Parks & Recreation Amie Clark. “The pickleball courts have become a very popular City amenity and receive a high level of use. This warranty work gives us an opportunity to address needed repairs and maintain the courts so they can continue serving our community for years to come. We appreciate everyone’s patience while this work is completed and look forward to getting all the courts back open as quickly as possible.”
The Noble Park Pickleball Courts opened to the public in 2023 with amenities including fencing, lighting, shade structures, benches, and sidewalks. This eight-court pickleball facility is located across from the tennis courts on the east side of the park’s inner roadway.
